My 3-Year Writing Project Culminates into My First Book

I may never be invited to show my work at the Sundance Film Festival, but that didn't stop me from making a documentary.

And I may never be invited to join the Food Network, but it didn't stop me from creating and hosting my own cooking show.

I may never fill an area with screaming fans who want to listen to my music, but that didn't stop me from making three original music albums.

And I may never be on the New York Times best seller list, but it didn't stop me from writing a book...

I have set out to do several crazy things in my lifetime. Regardless of how good or bad I was at something, it never deterred me from completing the goal I set out for myself. My latest accomplishment undoubtedly took me the longest to achieve.

In early 2010, I opened a Microsoft Word document, and began typing away at a story that had been developing in my head for quite sometime. I worked on it off and on for a period of more than three years. And then finally this year, after 137 pages (which really isn't that much when you consider how long I worked on it) it was finished.

I have since spent the past two months getting it published, and it's now available for anyone to read.

The name of the book is called High School Do-Over, and many of its words are based on personal events from my own life. However, there's no denying that it has certain elements of science fiction.

Here is a quick overview of the book's contents:

Ryan Adams is 27. He lives in a big city, has a good job, and has great friends. But when he gets an invitation to his high school reunion, everything changes. Unable to shake the personal demons from his days in high school, his life spirals out of control.

When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to return to high school comes his way, Ryan can't pass it up. It's a chance for him to right his previous wrongs and live the rest of his life with no regrets. Unfortunately, returning to high school for the first time in ten years presents some major issues for Ryan. Facing more challenges than ever before, Ryan's internal conflict is at an all-time high. What ultimately becomes of his High School Do-Over?

If that description intrigues you, then I have some EXCELLENT news. High School Do-Over is now available for you to read by purchasing it through the self-publishing website I used. It's called Lulu, and it is the #1 source for wannabe-writers like me.

Look, I'm not doing this to make money. But obviously it costs money to print the book, and then Lulu wants a cut for any book sold, so the price has been set at $8.99. I could have made it higher, but again... I'm not looking to make money from this.

Please visit the link below if you would like to look it over and potentially buy a copy for yourself to read. Thank you so much for your interest and support!
