I'm written about some of them in my blog:
Like a new appliance here.
Or various yard projects here.
But none of them compared to the most daunting (and most pricey) task of all -- BUILDING A PRIVACY FENCE FOR OUR BACK YARD.
I could write about my entire fence-building adventure. (And it truly was an adventure at times.) But few of you would enjoy the juicy details of such stories.
The bottom line is that I built it with my own two hands. It may not be perfect, but it's something I was able to do. And something that I'm proud to have done.
So let's jump straight to the end result! Nine days passed between the day I started and the day I finished. (It would have been much shorter if not for three inches of rain and May snow!) Below are various BEFORE and AFTER photos with captions.
Major thanks goes out to Matt, Jack, Gabe, and Ke'o for their help. Enjoy!
BEFORE: Last summer. |
AFTER: You can no longer see into our back yard from the street. |
BEFORE: A former view from the back porch. |
AFTER: You can no longer see the field behind our house! |
BEFORE: A former view from a different angle. |
AFTER: Ta-Da! |
IN PROGRESS: A photo taken before the panels were attached. |
AFTER: And now our neighbors disappear! |
AFTER: This is me being creative. |
AFTER: A view from that field I referred to earlier. We're now closed in! |
