Tackling the Garage

This weekend while the wife was away, I tackled my latest homeowner's project... THE GARAGE!

It's easy to neglect a garage. You never have to worry about tidying it up when company comes over. You, yourself, are rarely out there much. And so over time, it basically becomes a place where you put things that don't belong in your house.

After living here for almost a year now, it was becoming clear that our garage was headed down a path of clutter and chaos. So I decided to do something about it.

Granted, the "before" pictures you will see don't really look that bad. But at the pace we were going, we would not have been able to walk around our cars in another year.

BEFORE
Lots of tools stashed in the corner.
Inexcusable items lining the walls.

AFTER
This is where I did a majority of my
work -- hanging four shelves and
putting up two sheets of peg board.

BEFORE
You can see the two shelves along
the back wall. But there was no rhyme
or reason how things were organized.
AFTER
Much more neat and tidy.
